Very good question.I do not believe that flyers can be bashed against walls cast by an opponent.
I'm not sure what happens when a flyer gets bashed against an outer wall, but I suspect they take the bash damage as there is no mechanism for them to fly over those walls to escape the arena.
Don't think I've seen this addressed in the rulebook.
