I haven't used 3 flameblasts, but I have the fireball. The flameblast is contingent on the Unavoidable trait which is huge. I use it to kill familiars. The other 2 are likely a bit much. I can probably run 2.

It is 4 dice and then 5 with the Fire Ring or Hawkeye, or 6 with both. Not too shabby and pretty cost effective. Especially since I don't have enough Battle Fury to run my deck the way I want to.

The 3 fireballs are huge. I use those all of the time. At 3 total points for minimum 10 dice of damage. What would you recommend instead?

I dont have any specific recommendations, really - just seems like a lot of burn spells. Fireballs are very good, no doubt (I would argue flameblasts are better for the cost, especially for warlock), i just have a hard time including a lot of attack spells the more I play.

I run 2 flameblasts and 2 fireballs now, and I havent played a game yet where I have used 2 of them and thought "Man, i really need a third", ya know?

That said, I have two core sets, so my warlock runs dupes of other key equipment that allows you to dish out hurt - gauntlets of strength, lashes, fireshaper rings, etc.

My warlock lists seems to favor utility through evocations over enchantments and attack spells though - mage wands with teleport, piercing strike, charge, etc.

EDIT: Looking further at the list, what about including a purify? Its expensive, but helps a ton versus gorgon archers and basilisks (weakness and cripple are absolutely amazing vs warlock).

Hmmm, what a coincidence, I just retooled my Wizard build with 2 Gorgon Archers and a Stonegaze Basilisk specifically for those in your face Mages. With Teleports, Teleport Traps, Jet Streams and Force Pushes the in your face mage types should have fun with that. :)

Purify would help for sure, but it hurts to put in at 3 points so you can only really afford one, and right after that the Weaks and Cripples will start stacking up again anyway. Not a fun situation regardless.
