Sorry to interrupt...but I do not want any German Versions of some Games. It gives me shivers down my spine just to read "Der Böse Alte" in Arkham Horror, or "Zylon" in BSG.It just does not feel right.
Anyway, I am proud owner of an english copy of Mage Wars since yesterday.
And already desperately looking for some retailers participating in Organized Play, with no results, unfortunately.
I think it is not only the money, it is also the crowd that some Gamers really have language difficulties. I do not quite understand it myself, but there are still people who do not touch anything non-german. As I had presented (actually as guest) Descent 2nd Edition before release in a Store, I had to translate the english rules quite a lot. It surprised me.
I also think that the stores maybe are also not willing or to scared to touch non-english versions. I walked to 2 Stores here, one was actually a bigger one which had everything from Tabletop, Manga, Roleplay, Board Games and TCG. And no one had any idea about Mage Wars. They thought I talked about Summoner Wars and got confused when I mentioned a Spellbook. I do not walk often inside those stores, but this time, I felt like being the extreme Geek for once. That was new.
I mean, I would be even willing to offer presentation Plays. This Game is just great.
