That was my question, yes. I originally thought that daze meant that the entire attack was skipped, whether there were multiple strikes or not.

Then I read the Daze entry in the codex, which says "whenever" an attack is made, roll the die to see if it is skipped, and I thought that meant roll the die to see if the additional strikes were skipped, also.

Since it mentions that a zone attack only gets one roll for the whole thing, I guess it didn't make sense for multiple attacks to succeed if the creature is dazed. A blinded or disoriented creature misses one attack, but its multiple strikes always get to roll?

In the case of the hydra, for example, it could be that only one head is dazed, and the other two can still hit, I suppose. For a creature who has only one head, like Goran, the werewolf pet, however, he gets doublestrike on his feral claw attack, presumably because he has two claws. If he is blinded or disoriented, it made more sense to me that the whole attack should miss. But perhaps that would have made the Daze condition too powerful.
