I found that casting a Turn-1 Demonhide after BeastMaster casts two Turn-1 Bobcats can, alone, cause some AP outright. Long before Ring-of-Fire can have any (in)tangible effect on the game.
I've had Teleport/AOE readied many times, only to be Jinxed. Demonhide is stress-free and scary.
GB, I like both and the meta of making someone dissolve something OTHER than Lash (if Weenie). I like its hefty dissolve price.

That is what I figured. I like it for the same reason too. And, over the course of the game, I bet it saves you 8 to 10 damage.
So does any two points of armor...The question wasn't whether or not armor saved him some damage, but if Demonhide was a good card overall. If all that mattered was the two armor, he could equip the Dragonscale just as easily. I was questioning if Demonhide was a good card for him, not the value of having armor (which he already has in his build regardless of the Demonhide). I think you're having a different conversation.
@Rocklobster: Ok, I'll take your word for it. But again, I think that it's playgroup dependent. You mentioned your opponent using Bobcats for instance. I actually don't use those as much, although Force Push/Charge is always a nice combo. In my games Fast creatures and fliers tend to be what we use.
Anyway, good discussion.
