Mage wars really looks like a good game. I have seen all the reviews and the fantastic criticals happen review - thanks to all the contributors! Now my problem with this game is the following: I am not a CCG player as CCGs are way to timeconsuming in my mind and I do not like the aspect of "a game that has already started when the player's get to the table" (i.e. the construction of decks). Having said that I own and like most of the FFG LCGs. I just do not buy two or three core sets plus a gazillion of expansions. So, I like to pull out my Warhammer invasion every now and then and play the game with the core set given preconstructed decks. The only LCG for which I actually did deck construct is the lord of the rings LCG, but then again, I do play that solitarily only. Now, I don't wlant to and will not dump much time into this game. Is it worth getting under these conditions? I guess not??? But it looks soooooooo cool and fun. So one question that may tilt me in the one direction or the other is how many cards are in a "standard" spellbook and would it be an idea to set up the cards in the recommended spellbooks, leave them there and get the game going once in a while as I do with my warhammer invasion?
