You're still misunderstanding it. It does not replace the physical spellbooks. It's a spellbook builder. One that probably counts your spellpoints (so that it's easy to tell whether you can put in that extra angel) and let's you save your spellbook builds.
But if you want to, you can stick to pencil and paper counting :)
