I guess I just don't see a point to switching the pages around when organizing your spell book in a normal situation although I'm sure there was a reason.
I'm pretty sure I read in another thread that the direction of the pages switching wasn't intentionally designed that way by Arcane Wonders. I think that's just the way they're manufactured because the pockets are all on the same side of each full sheet and when you fold the sheets in half to make the book, the result is that the sheets in the first half face as you would expect and the sheets in the second half are faced the opposite way. In order for them to correct this, they would need to manufacture full sheets that have pockets facing back on the left side and facing front on the right side of each sheet. Just a guess here, but either that's too expensive to do because it would require custom sheet design or Arcane Wonders doesn't have that option available to them from the manufacturer.
Nope, there's no reason, and it's not intentional; at least not on AW part. These are the cheapie common type of card binder. They're all made that way. I'm guessing it's because full pages are bound into the spine. All of the pockets are on the same side as pages however once bound the latter half becomes "backwards". It's a cheap way of doing it.
