I actually just played these back to back this past Saturday.Mage Wars IS an LCG. As I saw someone posit elsewhere, LCG now really applies to any semi-collectible constructed card game with expansions on a regular basis.
In my opinion there's nothing comparable about Star Wars and Mage Wars other than the fact that they're both constructible games. That being said there's no other game that does a better job at making you feel like a mage than MW, yet I love the increibly fast skirmishes of SW. Both have a unique place in my collection.
