Also, if you Jinx my Dispel, we are equal in loss of actions/tempo because you could have used that action to hit me with an attack spell or cast a Battle Fury instead of the Jinx.
This is a common misconception. Jinx is extremely effective at prolonging a temporary advantage, and in many cases (especially when you have initiative) is a better play than Battle Fury or an attack.
Normally, if you and your opponent are in a similar tactical situation, Jinx is always a bad move. It costs you 3 mana and 1 action, it costs your opponent 1 action and no mana.
However, if you have a major tactical advantage (for example, your creatures are beating the crap out of your opponent) then Jinx has a chance of prolonging that advantage. Jinx his teleport or reverse attack, and you may inflict more damage than you would with a Battle Fury or Fireball.
Basically, any time that "1 quick action" is more valuable to your opponent than "1 quick action and 3 mana" is for you, Jinx will improve your tactical position. This usually happens when you are trying to turn a temporary advantage (creatures or enchantments) into a permanent advantage.
What you quoted from me was a specific example about Jinxing a Dispel in a specific scenario. Nowhere did I say Jinx didn't have its uses, especially when you are ahead, so you are rebutting a position I don't actually hold ;)
No offense, but I think the misconception here is you understanding my position ;)
