Until you realize you can teleport your hydra 2 spaces behind you into the opponent mage 2 spaces in front of you. or that you can take the mage two spaces in front of you and throw him into your waiting mana leeches/hydras and can't escape quick enough. That's a 5 space range there. AND you can cast it with the raven familiar.
