Mongoose left out since it may only be needed once, Piercing Strike is cheaper, trickier. Force Push or Teleport if Guards are that big a problem.
Purge Magic vital against Warlock-MirrorMatch and our playgroup's love of Agony (such a good card, I call it "Bear Sap"). Rather have it and not need it, than need it and not have it.
zesty opener:
1(sprint/teleport to FC); 2(battleforge/hellion in FC)
Well, my thought was that if you are running Regrowth Belt then you aren't dropping Deathlock every game, otherwise why would you bother with it? So, I just figured you could squeeze in a Vampirism too, but maybe you don't need it. I get why you choose Regrowth Belt over Vampirism if you are only going to include one or the other (because of the Battleforge), but a single Vampirism or Drain Life can be huge.
I guess if you don't have a lot of problems with guards then you don't need to really be Elusive, but that just seems like one of many obvious counters to this strat. Just drop a big nasty, like say a Hydra or Grizzly, and let it go on guard. I know playgroups are different though, so I'm not sure what kinds of stuff you guys do. Personally, against a build like yours, I try to drop something like a Hydra/Grizzly with a Nullify on it (to prevent Teleports/Force Pushes/Sleeps/Banishes/Force Holds). After that, use Jinx and/or Nullifies to keep it in the fight with one action, and the use the other action to attack with.
Also, have you guys had problems using a build like this and getting Daze/Stun locked? This happens vs Priestess often. I've found that Dazing the crap out of my opponent and stacking some Defenses means they spend their time swinging at air.
Lastly, have you guys tried running this strat out of Beastmaster instead? I think he does the in your face rush better than the Warlock personally.
Sorry for the barrage of questions, but you seem to have a good grasp on the deeper strategy of this game so I'm enjoying the discussion.
