There is no real reason to deconstruct the spell books after each game unless you want to. I leave all four of my builds together and just do some refining while at home. I just focus on having one build together for each mage at a time and consider each of them a "work in progress" that I tinker with continuously.
If you are doing this because you need to swap cards around between builds because you don't have enough, well, that's what the Core Spell Tomes are for ;)
