I guess I just don't see a point to switching the pages around when organizing your spell book in a normal situation although I'm sure there was a reason.
If they don't want to play beginner game, they can cast any spell they see and i don't need to modify the spellbook. Problem can be if they wish to build their own spellbook for their first game since I don't have enough spellbooks for that. In that case I think the best way to handle it is to take the old spellbook and make a deck of it where the normal spells are face up and advanced spells face down and the new created spellbook goes to the spellbook the way the maker wants.
