More importantly, you can perform a quickcast immediately before or after any creature activation (including your Mage).
For example:
1) You activate your Hydra by flipping over its action marker.
2) Prior to performing any actions, you also flip your Mage's quickcast marker.
3) You quickcast Teleport and move your hydra on top of the enemy Mage.
4) Your Hydra uses a Full Action to perform a Full Attack. (triplestrike)
Alternatively, you can use the quickcast after an action. For example, let's say your opponent has a bunch of weak creatures meleeing your Wizard.
1) You activate the Wizard by flipping his action marker.
2) You full cast Electrify and nuke the zone.
3) You flip your quickcast marker and quickcast Teleport to get out of there.
