Does the description of enchantments specifically say it breaks the general spell casting targeting rules or is it your contention that enchantments aren't spells?
Enchantments are definitely spells, but "playing an enchantment" is not "casting a spell".
When casting a spell, you must verify the validity of the target, because you're about to actually resolve it. If you want to try to apply rules from casting spells to playing enchantments, it should be, "When a spell resolves, if you find that the target of the spell is no longer valid (has moved or changed), then the spell is countered." Voila.
You seem positive your right ( and maybe you are) and nothing I or anyone else says will convince you otherwise. So we could argue about this all day and not resolve anything. I prefer resolution to argument so I'll post this question on Arcane Wonder's website and see if I can get an official answer before the day is out.
