This actually sounds pretty cool to me. Two mages feverishly exhausting their spell books and resorting in the end to fisticuffs like John Wayne in The Searchers.
Sorry you didn't dig it. I personally love this game and all the options it brings to the table. I'm finding myself thinking about possible combos and styles when not playing. That makes it a keeper in my spell book.
